Yes, all projects over $5,000 can only be built by a Registered Building Practitioner. For all projects over $16,000 a "Home Owners Warranty" insurance policy is mandatory and will be provided by Trimbuilt through their insurers "QBE Insurances"
Q: Are we a Registered Builder?
Yes we are, our registration numbers are DBU-3199 for domestic work and CBU-6558 for all commercial works. Q: Do you need a Permit?
Yes, all construction projects over 10 sqm do require a building permit regardless if attached to house or freestanding. Q: Do TrimBuilt provide plans & permits?
Yes, It’s all taken care of. Trimbuilt have our own fully qualified Architect to draw up your plans for your desired project and we also obtain all necessary permits in order for us to build your project. Q: How long will it take?
As most projects differ, we provide you with a written time frame which specifies the completion date (subject to permits being approved.) Q: Do TrimBuilt sub-contract our carpenters?
No, all our carpenters that build projects for TrimBuilt are wholly employed by us and are fully qualified carpenters. Q: How much will it cost?
We can design and develop your project to fit around your particular budget. We provide a free consultation and quotation to make sure that we can provide the right home improvement that will add value to your home and suit your budget. Q: How much do we have to pay up-front?
Once the quote has been accepted, there is a deposit required before commencement. The deposit will be 10% for all jobs under $20,000 and 5% for jobs over $20,000 as per Government legislation. This deposit covers all initial costs such as Building plans, Engineers computations, soil tests, Home Owners Warranty Insurance Policy, all Building permits etc. Q: Do TrimBuilt provide everything I need for my project?
Yes, TrimBuilt provide everything you need. Architectural designs & we organize all your plans and permits, including any Planning permits or Council Dispensations if required. We supply all materials and all appropriate qualified and very experienced tradesman for every aspect of your project. Q: Are you covered with Public Liability Insurance
